Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a bubbly personality, reveals simple techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell studied and worked at the top New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by food and cooking at an early age. After obtaining an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the business of restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most fun time of my life. It was hard to study, do or work enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy she gained a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. It has had a profound impact on the way that Burrell prepares her food. Burrell participates on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of kids who struggle. Burrell is also a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate, where she raises awareness about juvenile diabetics. In her capacity as a speaker, Burrell is on the road to speak about her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Anne declared that she felt fortunate that I could share her true passion with the people around her.
