Natalie Dormer
(born 11 February 1982) is an English actress. She has won an Empire Award and
been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics Choice Awards and two Screen
Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading (Berkshire) and made her
television debut playing Anne Boleyn on the Showtime series The Tudors. This
role has earned her acclaim. She made her stage debut in the musical Sweet
Nothings (2010). In Madonna's W.E., she played the role of the Duchess and York.
(2011) and Private Lorraine in Captain America the First Avenger (2011). The
performance she gave in After Miss Julie (2012) at the Young Vic was praised.
Dormer gained international attention and acclaim for playing Margaery Tyrell
in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in the two final
episodes of The Hunger Games franchise (2014-2015) These are her
highest-grossing film. She also played Irene Adler/Moriarty for the CBS series
Elementary (2013-15), Sara Price Jess Price (2016, 2017) and Onica in The Dark
Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). Her character in Penny Dreadful: City of
Angels in a miniseries on Penny Dreadful, was highly praised. Dormer was born
in Reading (Berkshire), England on February 11, 1982. She is the daughter of Gary
Dormer, Claire Richards and Samantha Dormer.
