Watts was born 28 September 1968. After her family moved to Australia She made
her film debut there in the drama For Love Alone (1986) and later appeared in
three television shows, Hey Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ (1991), as well as
Home and Away (1991) as well as in the movie Flirting (1991). Watts was an
unsuccessful actor when she first arrived in the United States. She acted in
small-scale movies and eventually was a professional actress. Her rise to fame
on the international stage was triggered by this role. Watts was later chosen
to play a journalist who was tortured in The Ring (2002). Her portrayal of the
mother grieving in Alejandro's 21 Grams (2003) was nominated her for the
Academy Award. She continued to climb the ranks of popularity with the roles in
I Heart Huckabees (2004) and King Kong (2005) as in Eastern Promises (2007) and
The International (2009). In her role as Maria Bennett in the disaster film The
Impossible (2012), Watts received another Academy Award nomination for Best
Actress. In the decade of 2010, Watts appeared in films such as Birdman (2014)
St. Vincent (2014) St. Vincent (2015), While We're Young (2016), The Glass
Castle (2017) and Luce (2018). Watts was also a star in blockbuster movies,
appearing in Divergent (2015)-2016.
