Cattrall was born 21 August 1956. She is an actress from the United Kingdom.
She is a British actress as well as a Canadian actor. She is best known for her
part in the role of Samantha Jones on HBO's Sex and the City (1998-2004), for
which she received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award
nominations, receiving the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. In
the movies Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010), she reprised
her part of Samantha Jones. Cattrall's film debut was in Rosebud (1975), and
she was later cast in numerous roles on TV. She gained acclaim in the 1980s ,
with films such as Ticket to Heaven (1981), Police Academy (1984), Hold-Up
(1985), City Limits (1985), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Mannequin
(1987), Masquerade (1988), Midnight Crossing (1988) and The Return of the
Musketeers (1989). Tribute (1980), Porky's (81), Turk 182(85), and Baby
Geniuses (999) were only a few occasions she starred with Bob Clark. Other
credits include The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990), Star Trek VI The
Undiscovered Country (91), Split Second (1992), Above Suspicion (95) and 15
Minutes (192001).
