Markie Post

Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek, California and began her career in film and TV shows, like Card Sharks (1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and continued to create projects such as Double Dare (1976) and has made appearances on such TV shows like 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most memorable TV performance was as "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). The actress was on more than 156 episodes of the comedy, from 1984 to 1992. Daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet, and noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918 - April 7 in 2015). Two daughters were born to her second husband Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 and died on March 30, 1990). Born in Palo Alto, California and raised in Walnut Creek. As a cheerleader, she attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree at Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She was a trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). She was cremated , and her remains were returned to Michael A. Ross. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post passed away on August 7, 2021. She was three months away from what would have been her 71st birthday, which was on November 4. She was only 27 days from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) and the co-star of which she passed away on July 11 2021. While the two shows were not connected, Night Court (1984), ended with Christine Sullivan's character relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), began with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and later she moved to a more secluded area after working in Washington DC.
