Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She starred in the Teletoon children's show Majority Rules as Becky Richards. from 2009 to 2010. From 2009-2010, she starred as Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) on the NBC series Revolution from 2009-2010. It was a post-apocalyptic science- show. She was nominated for the Saturn Award as Best Actress on Television. She was Annika Johnson on the A&E television show Bates Motel. Since the year 2017, Spiridakos has appeared on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. as Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the lead character. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owners George Spiridakos, who were both born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two brothers. The family moved to Skala in Greece, south-of Sparta just after her birth. In 1992 they came back to Canada. She is deeply connected to her Greek heritage and can speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos started acting in her junior high school. She continued her studies at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she was a graduate of Oak Park High School. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She was offered her first TV gig within a matter of weeks, a minor part on Supernatural. Spiridakos continued to work on television, with walk-on roles in Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos played in the TV film Goblin and also in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also played a recurring role in Being Human as werewolf Brynn McLean.In 2009, she won her first starring role in the Canadian Teletoon series Majority Rules!, playing 15-year-old Becky Richards. In 2011 she made her debut in feature films with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also filmed Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller written by Michael Greenspan. The film starred Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy, and directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos made an appearance as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original movie, Rags. Spiridakos was later offered the lead role in Revolution as Charlotte Matheson (survivor of a dystopian future society), on NBC television. In her pilot season, she auditioned for this role. Spiridakos filmed the pilot in Atlanta and the initial season in Wilmington. Because of her performance in the pilot, she was nominated to win the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She fell short to Anna Torv from Fringe's The Good Place. The second season saw production moved to Austin Texas.
