Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born May 12, 1972 is an American actress. Her most well-known character is the role of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), where she was a two-time recipient of the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She's also appeared on NBC's Whitney (2011)-2013 as well as ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12, 1972. Her mother was the executive assistant for the United States Navy, while her father worked as an agent for the Naval Investigative Service; her family moved frequently throughout her childhood, residing in Washington, D.C. and Arizona as well as in Japan. As a child she was encouraged by her grandfather and grandmother to study drawing, painting and architecture. She continued to pursue the visual arts, but had an interest in acting that was growing and was exposed to contemporary theater at the age of college. She earned her degree from George Mason University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. Seehorn who was a student she wanted to pursue a career in the theater after being encouraged by her acting professor. To be noticed, she worked in other roles in D.C.'s theater industry. She ended up getting some major roles in local theatre productions however, she had to take odd jobs to make ends meet; she took roles in various industrial short instructional films. Soon, she began to be cast in more television productions usually in roles she described as "very humorous, sarcastic, and well-informed women" like her idol Bea Arthur. Many of these roles ended up being ended after one or two seasons. In the month of May, 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn is Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest of the Jimmy McGill character.
