Kathleen Robertson Bio

Robertson changed from acting to screenwriting in the 2010s. Robertson completed the Writers Guild's Showrunners Training Program in 2015. She was guided and mentored by John Wells, former president of WGA West. [ In 2017 she began writing The Possibilities, Kaui Hart Hemmings' novel that follows up to The Descendents about a grieving Colorado mother who lost her son in an avalanche that he was skiing and is then introduced to a mysterious girl. Based on Chris Cleave's novel, Little Bee, she created a feature-length drama. Julia Roberts starred in the film. Swimming With Sharks was her first television series. It's based on the 1994 Hollywood comedy film. Quibi will debut the series in 2020. She also wrote the comedy-drama pilot Your Time Is Up for Lifetime featuring Christina Applegate was attached to the show's main. From 1997 to 1999 Robertson was with Gregg Araki, an independent filmmaker. Robertson has been married to producer Chris Cowles since 2004. On July 9, 2008, Robertson was born William Robert Cowles (her first child), at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. Robertson gave birth in October 2016 to Bennett, her second child.
