Ava DuVernay born August 24, 72 from Long Beach California. When she was a young girl, DuVernay's aunt Denise encouraged her passion for the arts and her creative side. Her aunt was a nurse and was a night shift worker so she could dedicate her time to theatre and literature as well as art.
